Avinash Chand - Chief Executive Officer
Avinash is a C.E.O of Identity Tours Ltd. Originally from the Fiji Islands, he immigrated to New Zealand twelve years ago. With over seven years of healthcare experience in a variety of roles within the industry, Avinash states that, "I have been with Identity Tours for four years taking our wonderful service users on trips. What I saw in them was such happiness, and achieving their own positive outcomes was the most rewarding experience of all. My passion is to work with people who need more opportunities to relax, enjoy themselves, and have new social experiences. Avinash's role in the company is to work with the board of directors and other relevant agencies to make each and every trip successful for our service users."
Douglas Mack - Director
Douglas joined Identity Tours as a full time Tour Director in 2014. Douglas has completed his education in business management and has had several successful businesses in the past. Douglas has brought many new and innovative ideas to Identity tours; focusing on catering to the needs for people with disabilities in order for them to enjoy themselves and have great time on the tour. Douglas' role in the company is to create travel itineraries, liaise with travel agents and other relevant agencies, and to work alongside with service managers, area managers and support workers to help facilitate these goals being met for the service users.
Faye Rowe - Administrator
Faye has been our Administrator for many, many years. Faye's first informal involvement occurred when her good friend Don invited her to join him on some camping trips for children with disabilities. Faye enjoyed the experience, and later decided to take an administrative role for Specialised Charter Services, which has now become Identity Tours. We feel very fortunate in having Faye stay on as a part of the team, where she spent over 20 years enhancing the lives of people with special needs.
Terry Ryan - Retired Registered Nurse
Terry has been with our programme for last four years. She is originally from Sydney Australia, and have been living in New Zealand for over 40 years. Terry has well travelled extensively in the past and also her background is in nursing; in both the public and private sector. Terry worked as a Registered nurse in public hospitals and later became a Clinical Manager in aged care facility. She is a mother of four adult children and a grandmother of four beautiful grand-children. We are grateful to have Terry on our programme to support our service users on tours. Terry has been involved in national and international tours.
Ronda Thomas - Registered Social Worker
Ronda has been with our programme for last four years. Ronda's back - ground is in supporting people with disability and mental health issues. She has previously worked for Richmond Fellowship which supports people with mental health challenges. Ronda studied for a bachelor of social work degree and graduated in 2014. We at Identity Tours are very grateful to have Ronda on our team supporting those who wish to travel with us. Ronda mostly works on the national and international tours.
